Gilded Helix is an offensive Normal-type Move. It is the 2nd version of Melia's signature move.
Its previous Version is Gilded Arrow.

Effect

Gilded Helix deals damage, hitting twice per use. Each strike has an equal chance to be a critical hit, with an increased critical hit ratio.

Gilded Helix's type is the user's secondary typing, unless the secondary typing is Dark, Fairy or the user is a single type Pokémon, which makes Gilded Helix use the User's primary typing instead. For Example Hydreigon, a Dark/Dragon Pokémon, will use Dragon type Gilded Helix, while Gardevoir, a Psychic/Fairy Pokémon, will use Psychic type Gilded Helix.

Gilded Helix will hit again if the first strike breaks a substitute. Bide and Mirror Coat will only acknowledge the second strike of this move.

If the first strike activates the target's Focus Sash, Focus Band, or Sturdy, the second one will cause the defending Pokémon to faint. A Focus Band can still activate again to prevent fainting, but this chance is independent of the previous one.

If the user is holding a King's Rock or Razor Fang, each consecutive hit has an equal chance to cause the opponent to flinch.

Pokémon learning Gilded Helix

Currently no Pokémon learn Gilded Helix naturally, the only user of the move is Melia.
