The Aevium region used to be a single solid landmass, however 40 years before the events of Rejuvenation, a disaster only known as "Storm-9" and generally referred to as "the Calamity" tore the region apart. The cause of the calamity is not known to this day, but is generally assumed to be a natural disaster. Today Aevium is a small cluster of islands. These Islands are divided into 4 sub-regions that make up the overall Aevium region.

Floria Region

A map of the Floria region.

The Floria Island is the largest island of Aevium. With the exception of Gearen City, located on its own small Island of the southern shore of the main Island, which is Aevium's 2nd largest city and the region's main seaport, the Floria region is overwhelmingly rural with a 3 small settlements scattered across it. Goldenleaf Town towards the center near the edge of Goldenwood Forest. Akuwa Town at the northern end of the island, divided from the rest of the island by a big mountain range in the center, Sheridan Village on the eastern side of the island. It has 5 Gym leaders at the start of the game, Venam, Keta, Narcissa, Valarie, and Erick, and 3 reserve leaders in Texen, Melia, and Spector. Its climate is warm and temperate, like spring.

Landmarks

Notable landmarks of the region include the Goldenwood Forest named for the golden colored leaves of its trees, the ruins of the Wispy Tower an old Radio Tower near Goldenleaf Town, along Wispy Path, which burned down 10 years ago. Route 2 has a big forest of cherry blossom trees, spreading from the big cherry blossom tree at the center of the route, as well as the entrance to Amethyst Cave. Near Sheridan Village lies Carotos Mountain and Mirage Woods, as well as Phasial Cave. Off the shore from Akuwa Town is the sea, Route 11 leading towards Evergreen Island, an island with a small boreal forest, the Evergreen Forest, as well as several smaller islands.

Terajuma Region

A map of the Terajuma region.

Terajuma Island is the smallest main island of Aevium. It is a hot, tropical region with 4 main settlements. The first of these is Kakori Village, home of the rangers. To the north-east is Jynnobi Pass, a secondary resort destination. North-west of Kakori Village and far west of Jynnobi Pass is Aquamarine Cave, and past that is the number 1 resort destination in Aevium, Telia Resort. Off the west coast of Terajuma is Kristiline Town, a small town on an island. It has 2 gym leaders at the start of the game, Crawli and Amber. Its climate is hot and humid, like summer.

Landmarks

There are many notable landmarks on Terajuma. on the main island there is the Terajuma Shipyard, which is the islands main port, and where the Xen Battleship is stored. West of that is Terajuma Beach, a small beach with many food and gift stalls and another notable tourism hot spot. In Kakori Village itself the Ranger HQ stands tall, housing the Kakori rangers who protect Kakori at all times, as well as the Kakori Help Center. By taking a cable car in Kakori, or by traversing the jungle and Mirimura Cave, one can arrive at the Weather Institute on top of Mt. Terajuma, along with another hot tourist spot, Lovers Bridge. Going down Mt. Terajuma, deep in the jungle lies Tyluric Temple, an ancient temple built for unknown purposes.

Leaving the jungle and heading north of Kakori, the Mynori Sea links the main island, Jynnobi Pass and Telia Resort together, as well as being the entrance to Jirukala Cavern and a fishing paradise. Mr. Luck's tent is also located here. To the west lies Route 5 and Aquamarine Cave. Once through Aquamarine cave, a short walk through the last part of Route 5 leads to Telia Resort. It offers many attractions, such as the hotsprings located in Magrodar Crater and Club S.T.F.U. There are also derelict lighthouses scattered across all 3 islands.

Across the sea in Kristiline Town, there are many different places of interest, including the Kristiline Eatery, TM Shop, Sapphire Museum, Azulrya Cavern and Isle of Angels. Halfway between Terajuma and Floria is Helojak Island, a small, swampy, rarely visited island with little to offer. Finally, just north of Jynnobi Pass is Valor Mountain, a large volcano with major cultural significance to the people of Terajuma.

Terrial Region

A map of the Terrial region.

The Terrial Region is 2 separate islands grouped together, Terrial Island and The Badlands. Terrial Island is home to most major settlements in the region, including Grand Dream City, Darchlight Village and the Rose Theater, as well as Oblitus Town. The Badlands is home to 1 major settlement, Sashila Village, and an abandoned settlement, Alamissa Urben. It has 7 Gym leaders at the start of the game, Flora, Lavender, Talon, Adam, Ryland, Saki and Damien, and 4 reserve leaders in Florin, Souta, Thomas Jr and Akane. Its climate is highly varied but mostly dry, like autumn.

Landmarks

Terrial Island

Terrial Island contains many distinct landmarks and points of interest. Starting from the south, Oblitus Town sits lonely, slowly falling into ruin. Heading north, Yui's Ranch dominates a large part of Route 7, with the Magic Milk Bar just west of it. Further west lies Honec Woods, where most of the regions Honey is produced, as well as being home to the Kingdom of Goomidra, the only fully non human settlement in Aevium. South of Honec woods and West of Oblitus Town is the entrance to Darchlight Woods, a mystical wooded area known for its unique trees and atmosphere. Deep in Darchlight woods is the entrance to Darchlight Caves, as well as Darchlight Village, a very small settlement known for its giga berries. North of this village is the Darchlight Manor, an old abandoned manor now inhabited by Ghost type Pokemon. West of this Village is Route 8, a very small and out of the way area that leads to the Dreamyard. Just south of Darchlight woods is Azure Port, a small port recently constructed for unknown reasons. Returning to Yui's Ranch, heading north will lead you to Aeviums largest settlement, Grand Dream City.

Passing through Grand Dream City for now, you will find yourself on Route 9, a route constantly adorned with fall colors and naturally growing bamboo. West of this area, only accessible by train lies Grand Dream Stadium, the premier battling facility of Aevium. North of Route 9 is the Rose Theater, a Johto inspired theater complete with hot springs, a restaurant, and resting accommodations, as well as its signature theater performances. Finally, just east of the theater is Route 10, a very small route with the only thing of interest being a former ferry terminal that once lead to Neverwinter.

Grand Dream City

Being Aevium's largest settlement by a large amount, Grand Dream City (Known more commonly as GDC to most) is packed with landmarks and points of interest. It is divided into several areas, the Dream District, Judicial District, Botanical Garden, Central Square, District of Hope, Back Alley, Night Market, Festival Plaza, and Scholar District. All of this is contained within a large climate controlled dome capable of simulating most weathers. Notable locations include Somniam Mall, the largest shopping mall in Aevium, Hospital of Hope, the largest hospital in Aevium, Axis High University, the premier school in Aevium, Central Building, the town hall of GDC, and the Dream Complex, Aeviums largest residential area. Also of note is The Underground, an area located directly under GDC that is very similar to Orre's The Under, and home to people who for one reason or another could not make it in GDC.

There are many more small boutiques, cafes, and important buildings located in GDC. Listing them all would be nearly impossible, and as such they will not be listed here. A few noteworthy ones are Mikas Cafe, PokeStar Studios, the Trainer Fan Club Center, the Blakeory Antheneum and Viennas Hill.

The Badlands

The Badlands are unlike anywhere else in Aevium, being a large, harsh desert covered in a perpetual sandstorm. The whole island is covered in unique foliage and semi-abandoned settlements. The main settlement is Sashila Village, a small port town located on the western side of the badlands. East of Sashila is the Zorrialyn Desert, a massive sandy desert filled with ruins and odd places. The closest of these is the Zorrialyn Labyrinth, a set of sprawling ruins known for the large amount of Crests contained within. Slightly easy of that is Fort Rystrine, an abandoned fort now occupied by desert bandits. Even further east of that is the entrance to Poilethal Forest, an extremely harsh and toxic forest that is off limits for nearly all trainers and regular people. North of the entrance is another entrance, this one to Voidal Chasm, a mysterious hole in the ground that is also a major source of Ether.

Heading west of Voidal Chasm, Alamissa Urben stands silent in the desert, a reminder of a better time. The former largest settlement, torn apart by conflict and now falling away into the void below, guards the entryway to Zone Zero, a pre Storm-9 settlement now sinking into the desert sands. If you can make it through Zone Zero, you will eventually arrive at a crossroads. Heading north will lead you to the mysterious Eclysia Pyramid, a massive, ancient structure that recently emerged from underground that has yet to be fully explored. Heading west will lead you to Reldin Island, a small volcanic landmass with very little of interest to the average trainer on it. Heading all the way back to Alamissa Urben, going west will lead you to some rocky cliffs housing Sand Stream Cave, a cave filled with Hippopotas and Hippowdon, as well as sand pits. Heading south from this cave will lead you back to Sashila Village. Further south lies Zorrialyn Coast, and the Strange House. Also of note is Draconia's Den, a cave located extremely deep in the Badlands rumored to be home to Legendary Pokemon.

Artrica Region

Little is known about the Artrica Region at the moment. The main island is called Neverwinter, it has at least 1 Major town, a small town with painting classes called Avorcrysta Village, a factory that produces badges for the League, and a port. It has 1 Gym leader at the start of the game, Kreiss and gains 1 more by the end, Martin. Its climate is cold, like winter.
