(Pre battle)
Florin is the reserve Grass Gym leader who gives out the tenth badge under certain circumstances. He specializes in Grass types. He is the older brother of the real Grass Leader, Flora, and works under Cassandra as a government official, unaware of her status as a Xen admin.
Florin has short green hair that sweeps sideways slightly and green eyes. He has a pale algae-green and short-sleeved collared shirt that has a black line at the collar, cuffs, and bottom. His shoes are this same pale green with dark green soles and a much more light lime for their toes. His jeans are the same dark green as his vest jacket, which is also accented by similar light lime lines at the top and bottom.

Florin is reserved and humble and doesn't like to abuse his position in GDC's government much. He listens and understand other point of views, even if he himself does not agree with it initially. He consistently acknowledges everyone else around him and doesn't get angry easily, if it all. However he can seem to be too nice and naive, which can result in him getting taken advantage of. If the player chooses to force Florin to kill the Bladestar grunts in the Darchlight Labs, then his personality will change drastically. He will blame Flora for his neglect and will directly seek out targets to destroy. In the Paragon Route, Florin will keep his pleasent demeanor, and will go as far as asking clemency for his sister.

Florin is first seen with his sister Flora in the Darchlight Woods or Tyluric Temple with both Flora and Talon if the Protagonist finishes the Bridge quest. They're discussing the recent "corruption" originating in the Badlands seemingly appearing here. Florin, oblivious to his sister's betrayal (Flora caused the so called "corruption") is convinced into contacting Cassandra about the corruption. They then encounter the player, and end up falling underground into a Bladestar base. At this point they encounter Erin, and begin to explore the Bladestar base.
Plot Split 1
The player will receive a choice to explore a way to leave the underground base with Flora, Erin, or Florin. If the player chooses Florin, they'll explore the cave together and eventually get trapped in a puzzle involving the creation of a Darchlight Mirror. Once the puzzle has been completed, the player will receive the Darchlight Mirror and begin to manipulate the Darchlight Caves in order to escape while fighting Bladestar on the way. During the events in the Darchlight Caves, Erin will note Florin's unique abilities, and will suggest he use them to kill the Bladestar grunts. Then, the player will have multiple chances to either battle the grunts, or to force Florin to attack them. If done multiple times, Florin will glitch from the compression in the cave, and will become more aggressive. After several attempts, Erin will demand Florin to stop his Massacre. Florin will refuse, and will instead kill the grunts on his own. When he finds Flora, he will blame her for Talon's death, and wil attempt to murder her. Erin intervenes, and Flora is arrested.
Plot Split 2
Once the group has left the cave, the Player will have the choice to expose Flora for being apart of Bladestar or not. If they expose them, Florin will pressure Flora until she drops the probe. After this, Flora admits her connection to Bladestar and goes back to the train with Erin, Florin, and the player. The police subsequently arrest her there. Choosing Erin or Flora will invite different text and lore, but she will still be able to be exposed. (Note: You can only fight Florin if Flora has been exposed. There is no way around this. Think carefully and choose wisely)
As of V13.5, Florin is the default gym leader, where Flora will only be fought if you join Bladestar.
Plot Split 3
When the player arrives in GDC, Flora is taken by the police following the events at Darchlight Caves. When asked by Venam, he claims that he will be fine.
Florin will not be seen again until Flora's trial. The judge will tell Flora that her punishment for being leader of Bladestar warrants the death penalty. On the Paragon Route, Florin will intervene, and will ask for a lighter penalty on the grounds of his service to the city. If the player fought the Bladestar grunts normally without Florin's powers, Flora will rebuke Florin, claiming that life in prison is worse than death. She will then be broken out of the courtroom by Bladestar grunts. On the Renegade Route, If the player forced Florin to murder the Bladestar grunts, Florin will request the death penalty for Flora, as he has come to hate her after the Darchlight Caves incident. Florin will act as prosecutor for Flora, laying out her crimes while ommiting his involvement in them. At this time, Flora will hand over a dossier full of damning evidence against Florin, before escaping as before. Florin is then arrested and placed on a rigged trial.
After the Grand Dream tournament, If Florin was made to kill the Bladestar grunts, Flora will post a video on the screen showing Florin's execution, claiming that his death was an example for those who defied Bladestar. If not, then he will be seen in front of his Gym, as acting mayor of GDC.
