The head of the Akuwa Town Aquarium and a water performer, Valarie is the region's Water type gym leader. She first seems to be missing when the Protagonist first arrives at the town, but is shortly after found imprisoned at Blacksteeple Castle, along with Saki, Adam and Braixen.
In Act 1, Valarie has blue eyes dyed blue long, but mostly straight, hair with two curly sidebangs and one sideswept bang in front of her forehead and wears a light blue bandanna, but her real hair color is light brown. She wears a blue short sleeved, V-neck cropped T-shirt, blue shorts, a yellow belt with 2 ropes on each hip, and blue high boots with white outlines.
In Act 2, inside Grand Dream City, Valarie still has her blue eyes, but she has her natural light brown hair, orange V-neck blouse with long sleeves that reaches halfway of the arm to her hand, orange pants, a brown vest, dark gray skirt with bottom white stripes, and brown boots with a single belt on each side.
In Act 2, inside the Bad Future, Valarie has blue eyes, messy but long and straight brown hair, a pale red bandanna with a tied white ribbon behind, a damaged light purple dress with long sleeves with a maroon waistcloth, and a loose pair of purple boots tied with a small belt, giving her the appearance of a pirate.
