Garbodor was created as a result of Melia's experiments in the East Gearen Sewers. Garbodor initially attacked the player and Ren, but eventually became an ally, luring Eli and Sharon away during team Xen's invasion in Goldenwood Forest. Zetta would soon turn it into Rift Garbodor, and it would eventually flee to the West Gearen Sewage Management.
