Introduction
The Narcissa's Hauntings quest can be started in Chapter 8, although it can only be finished after finishing Chapter 14. Completing this quest rewards the player with 1 Stamp and Rotom.
Guide
After having defeated the Goldenleaf Town gym, head to the Goldenleaf Theatre and complete the gym puzzle again. After stepping through the mirror, the player will be behind the curtain, instead of on a battle field. In the back room, after interacting with the painting, a Mew will pop out. Follow the Mew outside of the theatre, and grab the Odd Key. Follow the Mew to the Lost Castle on the Forgotten Path. Once inside, the player will have to read some books containing codes that act as passwords to the next room, with the passwords being: 44, 6677, 3645, 9043 and 7171. In the next room, the player must defeat a three-stage gauntlet of ghost types, after which they can proceed to the throne room and unleash Dufaux.
Once the player has access to West Gearen City, they can continue the quest. Head to the Help Plaza and accept the Generator Problems request, then head to the Power Plant and speak to Gabriel. After a brief flashback, the player learns that the issues are being caused by Dufaux. Once inside, the Power Plant will be infested with Rotoms, which are causing chaos. Head west in the Power Plant, avoid being seen by the Rotoms and make your way to the generator. Once at the generator room, a series of cutscenes will play, with Narcissa being thrown into the past and replaced by her younger self. Follow Narcissa back to Goldenleaf Town. Additionally, since Generator Problems is now complete, return to the Help Plaza to claim your rewards.
Speak to Narcissa outside of her house and follow her inside, then head into her room and read the journal. After reading it, Narcissa will request the player in Phasial Cave. Once at Phasial Cave, head to the west end and rock climb up to the ladder, then head down and use Dark Pulse to change the field to a Dark Crystal Cavern. After you've changed the field, the player has to wait for later in the story to continue.
After defeating Adam, head to Route 9 and enter Forlorned Cavern from the right side. Enter the room with the Timesplicer Crystal and Narcissa will appear, requesting a trip to the Cliffside Grave, located at the peak of Amethyst Cave. Accept the fast-travel to the grave if necessary.
Once at the grave, speak to Narcissa and then accept another fast-travel, this time to Phasial Cave. After the Phasial Cave events, enter Narcissa's room and speak to past-Narcissa. After the conversation between the two Narcissa's, head to Wispy Tower. Enter Wispy Tower and explore the Forsaken Laboratory with past-Narcissa. After watching some cutscenes, return to Narcissa's house and enter the bedroom. Accept the fast-travel to West Gearen City and speak to Gabriel.
After speaking to Gabriel and being brought to Route 9, enter Forlorned Cave and use the Timesplicer Crystal to travel to the past. Pull the lever that is located directly to the left of the crystal to open the floor panel. If the player retrieved the manor key from the present time, they will be able to unlock the door, but if not, head to the mansion north of Darchlight Village and follow the Clefairy doll to obtain the key.
To continue and to complete the quest, the player must finish all of Chapter 14. Once this is done, speak to Narcissa and take on Dufaux to finish off the quest.
Once it is completed, head to the Lost Castle and make your way to the summit, where a Rotom can be found and caught. Addtionally, after catching Rotom, make your way to the West Gearen Power Plant and speak to Gabriel to earn a Stamp.
