Virtual League

Introduction

The Virtual League quest can be started in Chapter 1 after defeating Venam. The length of the quest spans up until Chapter 9. Completing this quest rewards the player with the Meganium, Typhlosion, or Feraligatr Crest depending on your starter choice, 50 AP, and a Stamp.

Guide

Enter Gearen Laboratory and speak to the Ranger sitting at the table on the right after obtaining the 1st badge. You will be prompted to participate in a fangame that they are developing. If you accept, you have the option to choose between Cyndaquil, Totodile, or Chikorita. Your choice will determine what the final reward is, and your team will be different for whichever one you choose.

Once you have chosen your starter, you are required to defeat the Johto gym leaders. For every win, you will receive a virtual badge. Once Falkner is defeated, you will need to wait until you obtain the 2nd Aevium League badge to continue.

Once you've received the 2nd badge, return to Gearen Laboratory and challenge the next virtual gym leader, Bugsy. Once you've won, you are finished with this virtual league developer.

Your next set of virtual gyms will be located on Route 3, in an RV located to the west of the Route 3 gate. Talk to the man sitting at the table, and take on the next two virtual gym leaders, being Whitney and Morty.

The next set of virtual gyms are located in Kakori Village. Head into the Ranger HQ and enter the room on the left, then the 1st room at the top. Speak to the ranger and battle Chuck and Jasmine.

The last set of virtual gyms are located in Kristiline Town. Go inside the Poké Center and speak to the person on the right to take on the last two virtual leaders, Pryce and Clair. Now that you've defeated all the gym leaders, you will receive 25 AP.

Your final challenge will be in West Gearen City. Go to the south end and enter the bottom-most house on the left. Talk to the person inside to fight the Virtual League Elite 4 and Champion. You will be able to save in-between each fight, and your team will be healed each time.

Once you've defeated the Elite 4 and Champion, you will receive your starter's Crest, 25 AP, and a Stamp as rewards and the quest will be complete. The other starter Crests can now be bought at the Kecleon Shop on Route 2 for 50,000 each.
