Corrupted Cave Field

Corruption seeps from every crevice!

Corrupted Cave is a field effect exclusive to Rejuvenation. It is categorized as a Synthetic field and can be found in the Corrupted Cave (near Carotos Mountain), and while fighting Rift Garbodor in West Gearen Sewage Management.

Transitions From Other Fields

• Cave will transform into this field if either Acid Downpour or Sludge Wave is used.
  • The cave was corrupted!

General Effects

• Poison-type moves increase in base power by 1.5x.
  • The chemicals strengthened the attack.
• Grass-type moves increase in base power by 1.2x.
  • The corruption morphed the attack!
• Rock-type moves increase in base power by 1.2x.
  • The corruption morphed the attack!
• Fairy-type moves decrease in base power by 0.5x.
  • The corruption weakened the attack.
• Non-contact Flying-type moves decrease in base power by 0.5x.
  • The cave choked out the air!
• All grounded non-Poison or Steel-type Pokémon on the field are poisoned at the end of each turn.
  • Pokémon with one of the abilities Immunity, Pastel Veil, or Wonder Skin are immune.

Abilities Affected

• Corrosion additionally boosts damage dealt by 1.5x.
• Dry Skin causes the bearer to lose 1/8 max HP each turn if it isn't Poison or Steel-type, and recover 1/8 of its maximum HP each turn if it is Poison-type.
• Flower Veil, Grass Pelt, and Leaf Guard additionally damage the bearer for 1/8 max HP at the end of each turn.

• Liquid Ooze does double damage on activation.
• Mimicry changes the user's type to Poison.
• Poison Heal additionally heals the bearer for 1/8 max HP at the end of each turn.
  • [Pokémon] was healed in the corruption!
• Poison Point and Poison Touch have their activation rate doubled to 60%.
• Toxic Boost's damage boost increases to 2x.

• Apple Acid, Seed Flare → 1.5x boost.
  • The move absorbed the filth!

Other moves

• Diamond Storm, Rock Slide, Rock Tomb, Smack Down, and Stone Edge gain a Poison sub-typing.
  • As of v13.5.6, the field effect manual incorrectly states that Apple Acid gains a Poison sub-typing.
• Gunk Shot and Sludge Wave gain a Rock sub-typing.
• Ingrain damages the user instead, unless they are Poison or Steel-type.
• Stealth Rock deals Poison-type scaling damage instead.
  • [Pokémon] was hurt by the corrupted stealth rocks!
• Tar Shot additionally inflicts Poison.
• Toxic Thread inflicts Bad Poison instead.

• Camouflage changes the user's type to Poison.
• Nature Power becomes Gunk Shot.
• Secret Power may inflict Poison.
• Shelter halves damage from Poison-type moves.
• Terrain Pulse's type becomes Poison.

  • Blast Burn, Eruption, Heat Wave, Inferno Overdrive, Lava Plume
    • The cave's corruption combusted!

• Synthetic Seed boosts Defense by 2 stages but Badly Poisons the user.
• Black Sludge's effect is doubled.
