Short-Circuit Field is one of the fields present in Rejuvenation. It is classified as a Synthetic field.
Transitions From Other Fields
- Factory Field will transform into this field if one of the following moves is used:
- Bulldoze, Fissure, Earthquake, Explosion, Magnitude, Self-Destruct, Super U.M.D. Move (Physical attack), Tectonic Rage
- The field was broken!
- As of v13.5.6, Super U.M.D. Move is not mentioned as a move that can change the field.
- Light That Burns the Sky
- All the light was consumed!
- Aura Wheel, Discharge, Gigavolt Havoc, Ion Deluge, Overdrive
- The field shorted out!
- Discharge and Overdrive can alternate between Factory Field and Short-Circuit Field for each target hit in Double battles.
- Bulldoze, Fissure, Earthquake, Explosion, Magnitude, Self-Destruct, Super U.M.D. Move (Physical attack), Tectonic Rage
General Effects
- Electric-type moves gain a damage modifier that can vary from 0.5x to 2x. The damage modifiers cycle in the list below before repeating.
- Bzzt. → 0.8x decrease.
- Bzzapp! → 1.5x boost.
- Bzt... → 0.5x decrease.
- Bzap! → 1.2x boost.
- BZZZAPP! → 2x boost.
- If the Electric Terrain overlay is active, the damage modifier will always be x2.
- Changing the field does not cause the cycle to reset; it is reset only at the end of a battle.
Abilities Affected
- Download boosts both Attack and Special Attack on activation.
- [Pokémon]'s Download boosted its Offenses in the broken terrain!
- Galvanize's damage boost becomes 2x.
- Gulp Missile will always pick up Pikachu.
- Mimicry changes the user's type to Electric.
- Plus, Minus, and Surge Surfer are activated.
- Static's activation chance is doubled to 60%.
- Steelworker additionally makes the bearer's Steel-type attacks gain an Electric sub-typing.
- Volt Absorb additionally restores 1/16 of the bearer's max HP each turn.
- [Pokémon] absorbed stray electricity!

Moves which receive an attack buff
- Steel Beam → 1.667x boost, Electric sub-typing and instantly KO's the user.
- Gear Grind, Gyro Ball, Hydro Vortex, Magnet Bomb, Muddy Water, Surf → 1.5x boost, Electric sub-typing.
- The attack picked up electricity!
- The attack picked up electricity!
- Super U.M.D. Move → 1.5x boost.
- CHARGING UP!
- Dazzling Gleam, Flash Cannon → 1.5x boost.
- Blinding!
- Dark Pulse, Night Daze, Night Slash, Phantom Force, Shadow Ball, Shadow Bone, Shadow Claw, Shadow Force, Shadow Punch, Shadow Sneak → 1.3x boost.
- The darkness strengthened the attack!
Moves which receive an attack nerf
- Light That Burns the Sky → 0.5x decrease.
- [Pokémon] couldn't consume much light...
Other moves
- Flash lowers the target's Accuracy by 2 stages.
- Magnet Rise lasts for 8 turns.
- Metal Sound lowers the target's Special Defense by 3 stages.
- Zap Cannon's accuracy is increased to 80%.
Field-dependent moves
- Camouflage changes the user's type to Electric.
- Nature Power becomes Discharge.
- Secret Power may Paralyze.
- Shelter halves damage from Electric-type moves.
- Terrain Pulse's type becomes Electric.
Transitions to Other Fields
Any move in this section inherently gains a 1.3x damage boost if it changes the field, unless noted otherwise.
