Crystal Cavern is one of the field effects present in Rejuvenation. It is classified as a Magical Field and can be found in Amethyst Cave.

Transitions From Other Fields

• Cave will transform into this field if either Diamond Storm or Power Gem is used.
  • The cave was littered with crystals!
• Dark Crystal Cavern will transform into this field if harsh sunlight is active at the end of the turn, and will transform back when it isn't.
  • The sun lit up the crystal cavern!

General Effects

• Certain moves and abilities involve using a crystal type that cycles between Fire, Water, Grass, and Psychic, in that order.
  • Every instance of damage calculation from moves using a crystal type advances the crystal type. All moves use the same crystal type counter.
• Rock-type moves increase in base power by 1.5x and gain a crystal type sub-typing.
  • The crystals charged the attack!
• Dragon-type moves increase in base power by 1.5x.
  • The crystal energy strengthened the attack!

Abilities Affected

• Mimicry changes the user's type to a crystal type.
• Prism Armor additionally boosts Defense and Special Defense by 33%.

• Aurora Veil can be activated regardless of weather.
• Rock Polish additionally boosts the user's Attack and Special Attack by 1 stage.
• Stealth Rock instead deals crystal type-scaling damage.

Field-dependent moves

• Camouflage changes the user's type to a crystal type.
• Nature Power becomes Power Gem.
• Secret Power may inflict a random status between Burn, Freeze, Sleep, or Confusion.
• Shelter halves damage from Dragon-type moves.
• Terrain Pulse's type becomes a crystal type.

Transitions to Other Fields

Any move in this section inherently gains a 1.3x damage boost if it changes the field, unless noted otherwise.

• This field will transform into this Dark Crystal Cavern if any of the moves Dark Pulse, Dark Void, Light That Burns the Sky, or Night Daze is used.
  • The crystal's light was warped by the darkness!
  • The crystals' light was consumed!
• This field will transform into Cave if any of the moves Bulldoze, Earthquake, Fissure, or Magnitude are used 2 times, or Tectonic Rage is used 1 time.
  • The crystals are starting to crack...
  • The crystals were broken up!
  • As of v13.5.6, the field effect manual does not mention Fissure as a move that changes the field to Cave.
