Wasteland is one of the field effects present in Rejuvenation. It is classified as a Telluric field.

General Effects

  • Entry hazards are consumed as soon as they are placed, but return at the end of the turn, applying special effects to all Pokémon on that side of the field (not including Pokémon in the semi-invulnerable turn of a move):
    • Spikes deal damage equal to 1/3 of the Pokémon's max HP if grounded.
      • ...Stalagmites burst up from the ground!
    • Toxic Spikes inflict Poison and deal damage equal to 1/8 of the Pokémon's max HP, if grounded and not Poison or Steel-type.
      • ...Poison needles shot up from the ground!
    • Stealth Rock deals damage equal to twice its normal effect.
      • ...Rocks spewed out from the ground below!
    • Sticky Web lowers Speed by four stages.
      • ...Sticky string shot out of the ground!
  • Certain moves and abilities have a chance to randomly inflict Burn, Freeze, Paralyze, or Poison on the target. This replaces the moves' normal secondary effects. Targets that are Poison or Steel-type, or have one of the abilities Immunity, Poison Heal, or Toxic Boost are immune.
    • Acid Downpour (100% chance)
    • Octazooka (50% chance, can also lower Accuracy by 1 stage)
    • Gunk Shot, Sludge, Sludge Bomb (30% chance)
    • Sludge Wave (10% chance)
    • Corrosion (10% chance for all moves used by the bearer)

Abilities Affected

  • Effect Spore, Poison Point and Stench's activation chances are doubled (to 60%, 60% and 20%, respectively).
  • Gooey additionally inflicts Poison on activation.
  • Liquid Ooze deals double damage on activation.
  • Merciless and Toxic Boost are activated.
  • Poison Heal additionally heals the bearer for 1/8 max HP at the end of each turn if it is grounded.

Moves Affected

Moves which receive an attack buff

  • Spit Up → 2x boost.
    • BLEAAARGGGGH!
  • Mud Bomb, Mud Shot, Mud Slap → 1.5x boost, Poison sub-typing.
    • The waste was added to the attack!
  • Power Whip, Vine Whip → 1.5x boost
    • The waste did it for the vine!
  • Gunk Shot, Octazooka, Sludge, Sludge Bomb, Sludge Wave → 1.2x boost, random status
    • The waste joined the attack!

Moves which receive an attack nerf

  • Bulldoze, Earthquake, Magnitude → 0.25x decrease
    • Wibble-wibble wobble-wobb...

Other moves

  • Barb Barrage and Venoshock double in power regardless of status.
  • Dire Claw's status chance is increased to 100%.
  • Leech Seed deals and restores double the HP as normal.
  • Swallow now restores twice the amount of HP as normal, and cures the user's status conditions if Stockpile has been used 3 times.
  • Venom Drench can be activated regardless of status.

Field-dependent moves

  • Camouflage changes the user's type to Poison.
  • Nature Power becomes Gunk Shot.
  • Secret Power may inflict Burn, Paralysis, Freeze, or Poison.
  • Shelter halves damage from Poison-type moves.
  • Terrain Pulse's type becomes Poison.

Items

  • Telluric Seed boosts Attack and Special Attack by 1 stage and lays Stealth Rocks on both sides of the field.
