Desert Field is one of the field effects present in Rejuvenation. It is classified as a Telluric field can be found in the entirety of the Badlands, including Zone Zero, Alamissa Urben and Zorrialyn Desert.

Transitions From Other Fields

  • Grassy Terrain will transform into this field if the ability Desolate Land is active.

General Effects

  • Water-type moves used by grounded Pokémon decrease in base power by 0.5x (except Scald and Steam Eruption).

  • Ground-type Pokémon's Special Defense increases by 1.5x.
  • Sun and Sandstorm weather last for 8 turns.
  • Sandstorm deals 1/8 max HP damage each turn.
  • When the weather is Sunny:
    • Grass and Water-type Pokémon take 1/8 max HP damage at the end of each turn unless they have one of the abilities Solar Power or Chlorophyll.
      • [Pokémon] was hurt by the sunlight!
    • Grass and Water-type Pokémon are healed by Water-type moves.
      • [Move] instead restored [Target]'s HP!

Abilities Affected

  • Dry Skin makes the bearer lose 1/8 max HP each turn.
  • Mimicry changes the user's type to Ground.
  • Sand Force, Sand Rush, and Sand Veil are activated.
  • Sand Spit additionally lowers Accuracy of all foes upon activation by 1 stage.
  • Wandering Spirit lowers the bearer's Speed by 1 stage at the end of each turn.

  • Burn Up, Dig, Needle Arm, Heat Wave, Pin Missile, Sand Tomb, Sandsear Storm, Scald, Scorching Sands, Searing Sunraze Smash, Solar Beam, Solar Blade, Steam Eruption, Thousand Waves → 1.5x boost.
    • The desert strengthened the attack!
  • Bonemerang, Bone Club, Bone Rush, Shadow Bone → 1.5x boost.
    • The lifeless desert strengthened the attack!

Other moves

  • Arenite Wall lasts 8 turns and can be set without Sandstorm.
  • Aqua Ring, Life Dew, and Soak fail on use.
    • The desert is too dry...
  • Dig only lasts 1 turn.
  • Sand Attack lowers the target's Accuracy by 2 stages.
  • Sand Tomb deals 1/6 max HP per turn.
  • Shore Up restores 66% max HP.

Field-dependent moves

  • Camouflage changes the user's type to Ground.
  • Nature Power becomes Sand Tomb.
  • Secret Power may lower Accuracy.
  • Shelter halves damage from Ground-type moves.
  • Terrain Pulse's type becomes Ground.

Items

  • Telluric Seed boosts the user's Defense, Special Defense and Speed by 1 stage but applies Sand Tomb to the user.
